 What is Sound Therapy?

I offer Biofield Tuning Sound Therapy, which was developed by Eileen McCusick, as a simple but powerful method of using sound to address energetic imbalances. Using the sound waves produced by tuning forks in your biofield (the energetic field that surrounds the human body) to locate and resolve any dissonance allows to body to “auto-tune” itself, often resulting in a release of patterns that are keeping us stuck - in thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. The released energy is then brought back to the body, and integrated into the energy field. Since a lot of what is occurring during a Biofield Tuning Sound Therapy session is a release of stuck energy, after a session most people report that they are sleeping better, feeling lighter, more relaxed and that they notice an increase in their overall energy.

Biofield Tuning Sound Therapy $95
A Sound Therapy session may include the use of crystals and/or essential oils. In person or distance sessions available. Each session is approximately 75 minutes in length.

What to expect from a Biofield Tuning Sound Therapy Session 

Before the session you will need:

Your intention for the session – what is it you are looking to shift or balance? Sound adapts to the environment and it works on all levels - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Take some time to think about anything that you might want to have addressed during the session. If you have something, great, if not, that's great too :-)
Water - Drink a glass of water before the session - energy moves best when the body is hydrated.
Epsom Salt – At some point afterward, on the same day/evening of the session, it is also highly recommended and beneficial to take a bath or soak your feet in Epsom salt, baking soda or sea salt to help clear your field. You can also use any of these salts on your body in the shower as well.  

During the Session:

Sessions typically last about 60-75 minutes. During the session, relax, and notice what you notice.  As a receiver, your role is to pay attention, be curious about what you’re noticing and BREATHE - especially when you notice you may be holding your breath - in through the nose and out through the mouth, visualizing the breath moving out through the bottom of the feet or the tailbone. As the session progresses, I will share with you what I am noticing, and I will check in with you about what you may be noticing - there may be bodily responses like yawning, stomach gurgling, goosebumps, feeling cold or warm, feeling sleepy, or there may be images or sounds that show up, etc. Consciously using our awareness to notice what’s going on in the body allows energetic congestion to resolve more quickly. Often, the sensations you notice are signals that there are energetic shifts taking place.

If you feel the need to move parts of your body during the session, or if you need to get up and go to the bathroom, please feel free to do so.  

After the Session:

That same day, before you go to bed, be sure to clear your field by taking an Epsom salt bath, foot soak, or shower.

In addition, a lot of what occurs during a session is a release of stuck energy, and after a session, most people report that they feel lighter, more relaxed, and are sleeping better. But sometimes emotions may surface like sadness and irritability, or you may feel exhausted and lethargic – these are some possibilities, and they're all temporary.  If you do experience any of these symptoms you can think of them as an integration, and it's best to just go with the flow and really nurture yourself and let go of whatever needs to be released. Afterward, people usually report having more energy, clarity, ability to focus, and feeling peaceful and calm.

Biofield Tuning is cumulative; every session builds on the one prior to it. Like chiropractic trains the bones to find their balanced relationship, Biofield Tuning trains the magnetic/electric system of the body to flow in a balanced, rhythmically harmonious way. If a person has had long-term, extreme, non-beneficial inputs, it will take longer to achieve balance. Younger people respond more quickly than older people. The number of sessions varies, but in the beginning, it is generally recommended to start with 3 sessions a week apart. After that, we can discuss the options that would be best for you.
